*On the island, or in Domino, pretty much at about right after sunset, you'll find this kid wandering about.
He looks like he's trying to take in the scenery of each of the respective places, but he's still wearing that too-warm outfit for this weather. You'd probably almost miss him if he wasn't so pale, it's almost luminescent.
Obviously you should be bugging him.*

Yeah, I don't really have much natural defense against it. My skin's been like this since I was born, so it's really sensitive.
But I can't really do much about most schools operating during the morning and daytime, and it'd be too much to try to find night operating schools. ... and I didn't really want to do any private tutoring or something like that.

*You can tell quite easily from the photo of Yuma's parents that he got his naturally tan skin and dark hair from his dad and his red eyes from his mother.*

You look like you'd feel natural in the sun, so it only makes sense. You got your skin color from your dad, right? You'd have more protection from it.
(1/2)
Haha! Yup! I guess this is the sort of skin colour that would benefit an adventurer who could be out in the sun for hours!
(2/2)
Hmm, I guess I'm sort of more like an average between you both.
*Yuya's skin colour is fairly average, almost like it decided to make up for his rather un-average other features, like bright tomato hair.*
no subject
I guess. I inherited my skin color. Far as I know, my grandmother was the one who started it, and she doesn't talk much about her own parents or anyone like that.

I've been called a "ghost" or a "vampire" before, cause of how pale I am.
*... though neither of those names really sound too far off for him, with how he looks.*

...people can be really cruel sometimes.
*He seems to say that with some familiarity, like he's experienced how sucky people can be himself.*
You can't help the way you look.
(2/2)
Ah, I guess I really shouldn't of assumed you were ill when I first met you earlier. Sorry about that, bud!
no subject
I don't know if anyone does it really to be... cruel, admittedly. Just people can get scared of things they see as being... abnormal.
no subject
*Yumas face then suddenly lights up.*
But, hey, you've got us as buds now!! And we'll definitely look out for you if you ever need it!
no subject
Thanks. I'm glad you're willing to stand up for me like that.
no subject
Well, we're all friends now, so it makes sense to watch each others backs.
no subject
*he's so unused to having people willing to even stay around him, but people willing to watch his back? That's a big jump.*

It's Yuma's catchphrase!

I guess it's nice... No, it is nice. It's nice to not give up.

My dad was the one who taught me this and I've lived by it ever since!
no subject
Your dad really sounds like an interesting guy.
