PB and/or Description: A gloomy looking pale-skinned guy with dark grey/black eyes, with shadows constantly under his eyes, as though he hasn't had any good sleep for some years. Has long hair that's tied back into a ponytail, only it... Doesn't look quite right with the rest of reality. Tends to wear warm, covering clothes, including a wool hat and scarf, which he'll tend to pull down or up to hide himself with. Personality: Gloomy and withdrawn, he's the type to not get too chummy with folks-- but it doesn't mean he won't involve himself where he should. While he isn't the first one you'd think would join a club or anything, he does go out of his way to help with projects or cooperative ventures.

He always seems a little tired, so most people assume he doesn't have the energy for anything... Which they're generally right about, at least during the day. He has two specific sleeping times during the day: He'll wake up in the morning for classes, and then immediately fall asleep after them until twilight, at which then he'll wake up and stay up pretty late. Some folks tell him it isn't healthy, but he doesn't really care.

He has an interest in mythology and is good in biology classes, but he acts tense around blood. He wants to have a pet cat one day, but he feels like none would really like him much. He isn't too fond of seeing the sun in the morning, but he deals with it. As a result, he usually tends to be happier during cloudy or rainy days. He has a preference for bloody and juicy meats and fruits.
History: You all know the story of Camula, right? The vampire woman whose entire race was destroyed, and only survived by hiding away in a deep slumber. Well, while Camula's race of vampires was the only one around on Earth, natively, there were still various vampiric and vampire-like races among the 12 Dimensions, and a couple generations back, one of them came to Earth, and ended up settling down there. Come to today, and you have this kid dealing with the consequences.

Having been born into having vampiric traits, though somewhat diluted, Hitoshi is mostly used to the downsides and upsides of it, give or take some of the problems that come of dealing with the puberty stage of life. He got to learn a lot about the possibilities of it from his grandmother, and even got to hear about the 12 Dimensions. As a result, he ended up getting a healthy interest in Duel Monsters, and after some time, he ended up winning a local tournament in the cold Northern city he lives in-- which was enough for him to get an offer to Duel Academy. It took him a while to decide on it, weighing the pros and cons of it... But he did hear that Domino City especially had a lot of "odd" people and occurrences, and he felt that, maybe, just maybe, he could find a place where he was more "normal" in comparison. So, he took the invite.

He was not to thrilled to learn later, after registration was already in, that Duel Academy is on a more sub-tropical island.

Abilities: As a vampiric being, he has a few specific traits: He has sharp fangs. He can see things with incredible detail and clarity, even in darkness. He's more agile and stronger than the average person, but not by too much. He isn't harmed by the sun, but it does annoy him. He can still be seen in a mirror and in pictures, but his shadow is noticeably diminished. Oh, and he isn't "undead" or anything, and as far as any medical tests might be done, he's considered living, if anemic.

His main "thing" as a result is his shadow familiar, which takes the form of the ponytail hair. It is able to act as an independent tendril, and is fully capable grabbing or cutting things. If he focused hard enough, it would be able to expand or lengthen to whatever he needs it to do, and he's made some advances in figuring out other ways of manipulating the shadow.

He does not drink blood as a vampiric creature traditionally would-- and he'd rather avoid it if he can. While doing so would increase his physical prowess and manipulation abilities, it is much like a recovering alcoholic having a sip of it. A slippery slope, if you would. While it's possible for him to remain focused while under the effects of it, it's not only a risky danger to him and everyone else, but is also incredibly taxing on his psyche. Funnily, he ends up being much more sensitive to sunlight in this type of state.

Also, he is considered to be slightly charming and attractive to girls around his age range, though it entirely depends on the girl in question.
