*well, it's finally happening. It basically came down to the wire, but during the evening, a few days after Hitoshi asked Yuya about talking, he's finally knocking at the door to your dorm room, Yuya and Yuma. Even his knocking sounds kinda nervous, and when you answer the door, he looks nervous.*
no subject
*Yuya is the one to answer the door. He smiles in greeting to him as he does.*
Hey, Hitoshi!! We--! Huh?
*He breaks off when he sees how nervous he looks.*
Are you okay?
no subject
*he takes a nervous breath*
Just... Kinda anxious, I guess. S-sorry for waiting so long.
no subject
It's fine. Whatever you need to tell us seems pretty important, so it's understandable if you're anxious about it.
*With that, he steps to the side to let Hitoshi in*
Would you like a drink at all?
no subject
*he comes in, trying to not look even more on-edge. He's the one who wanted to do this. he needs to stop putting it off.*
(1/2)
Hey Hitoshi!
(2/2)
*And soon after you've sat down, Yuya brings you over a glass of water.*
Here's your water.
no subject
*he takes the water, thanking Yuya for it, and taking a sip. just, calm down, Hitoshi. you can do this. Yuma and Yuya have probably seen weirder.*
... So I've uh. Been wanting to tell you both something about myself. It's something I'd rather say sooner than later, cause... I'm worried about it getting out by accident, and people getting the wrong idea about it.
no subject
Hey, man, we're all ears! You can tell us absolutely anything!!
no subject
I'm... sorta kinda a vampire. *... that was a little quiet but. you're sure you might've heard that right.*
(1/2)
*They both take a small moment to make sure what they heard was right, but thankfully for Hitoshi, neither of the boys appears to over-react to it.
In fact, they look quite curious.*
A vampire?
(2/2)
Wow, that's really interesting!!
Is that the main reason you prefer being active during the night, rather than the day?
no subject
I mentioned before... my dad's got the same problem as me? It's cause we got it from his mom. My grandmother. Only his is a lot more pronounced. He wouldn't be able to stand going outside in the day, like me. ... I'm kinda lucky, in that sense.
no subject
Wow. I didn't even realize that vampires really existed.
But I guess since coming here I've found that a lot of unique things exist!
So being a vampire is part of your family line.
I'm guessing your mother isn't a vampire?
no subject
Mom married into the family. So she's normal.
My grandmother... she came here because there used to be a pretty specific type of vampire group living on earth, but they sorta all went extinct, she thinks.
no subject
Extinct??
Does she know why?
no subject
All she knew is that by the time she came here, they were all gone... but it was harder to move between dimensions back then.
It was easier for her to stay and get comfortable, than to try and go back.
no subject
I guess maybe the vampires that used to live here are where the current myths about vampires came from.
Though I'm curious. The vampire myths that currently exist in human culture... how much truth and non-truths is there to them, compared to real living vampires?
I think something like that is important to know.
no subject
*he said that last one pretty quietly, but then he speaks up*
I-I haven't though. Done that. It's actually probably part of why I'm not really energetic, though... It's similar to anemia, then.
(1/2)
Oh man, I guess that would make sense.
(2/2)
Yeah. Blood isn't exactly something that's easy to come by, without having to hurt someone or something.
no subject
It... isn't a fun thing to think about... but it does end up being a detriment to me.
But it's also part of why I wanted to tell you. I'm... kinda worried about some of the things that could probably happen. A lot of weird things happen, and it seems like a possible thing that someone will pop up who tries to take advantage of others.
no subject
We're really glad you were able to tell us! And you're right!
All of us have got to look out for and help each other from anyone who'll take advantage of any of us.
No matter what, Yuya and I will always have your back, Hitoshi!!
no subject
I'm not used to acceptance. A lot of people back home didn't know what I was, but... a lot of them were really suspicious of me. Of my family...
no subject
Besides, I guess Yuma and I aren't exactly what you would call 'normal' either.
no subject
Man, who gets to decide what's 'normal' and what's not anyway?!
The differences we have is what makes us all super unique and interesting! Supernatural abilities or not!
no subject
... also there's one more thing, that I haven't... really told anyone else either.
One of my unique abilities is that I have a. Familiar.
no subject
A Familiar?
no subject
It's... literally my shadow. Only I can control it.
no subject
You can control your shadow?? That's so neat!!
no subject
no subject
no subject
Like... that form.

*Yuya chuckles a little at how excited Yuma is over that, before he looks at Hitoshi.*
Thank you for trusting us enough to be able to tell us about this. I know it would of been a really difficult thing to decide to do.
no subject
I... I really want to trust people... this school... no, this city. It's different from other places, you know?
no subject
no subject
It's my secret to share. I don't want to end up in any bad situations...
no subject
We'll make sure to keep your secret and if you ever do find yourself in any kind of bad situation, then you have us to help you out of it!
no subject
... and if you need help... don't hesitate to ask me, either, okay?
no subject
Thanks, Hitoshi!!
